TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team finished off the final day of the MIAA Indoor Championships with a seventh-place overall finish. It is the second straight season the Ichabods placed seventh overall at the meet with 47 points team points – the most the Ichabods have gained at an MIAA Indoor Championship meet. The Ichabods will now wait until this week to see who has qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships in Pittsburg, Kan. March 8-9.
On the final day of action, the Ichabods picked up three points from
Tyler Mooney in the 200m after he finished sixth in a time of 21.72.
Washburn also gained three points on Sunday from
Alessandro Di Gregorio in the triple jump who tied a personal best with a mark of 14.72m (48-03.50) for an NCAA provisional mark.
Ransford Nti finished seventh in the triple jump picking up two points with a mark of 14.58m (47-10.00) for an NCAA provisional mark.
Braden Rose followed up his weight throw second-place finish from Saturday with a seventh-place showing in the shot put earning two points with a mark of 16.17m (53-00.75).
