TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team opened the first day of the Ichabod Invitational with a pair of NCAA provisional marks and 10 personal bests on Friday at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility. Day two of the event will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Leo Cossham finished third in the 5000m run in a personal best time of 14:48.53.
The Ichabods had three top-10 finishers in the invitational high jump led by
Jordan Dale's mark of 2.07m (6-09.50) for an NCAA mark and
Alessandro Di Gregorio finished sixth at the same height.
Matthew Heckman finished eighth clearing 2.02m (6-07.50).
The Ichabod shot put squad also had three top-10 finishes as
Braden Rose finished third with a mark of 16.37m (58-08.50).
Jaden Magana,
Caden Rhamy and L.J. Minner all had personal bests finishing fifth, ninth and 12th. Magana had a height of 15.20m (49-10.50), Rhamy's height was 14.72m (48-03.50) and Minner's mark of 14.07m (46-02.00)
