KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod soccer team is ranked 21
st in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II National poll, the second straight week the Ichabods have cracked the top 25.
The Ichabods capped off an undefeated weekend with two neutral-site contests in Kearney, Neb. On Friday, Washburn defeated Black Hills State 6-0 in a contest that saw five different Ichabods find the net, with three scoring their first collegiate goals. On Sunday, Washburn played Western Colorado to a 0-0 draw, closing out the nonconference slate.
The Ichabods will return to Yager Stadium to open conference play with a contest against Central Oklahoma on Friday, Sep. 27, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Washburn will also host Newman on Sunday, Sep. 29 for a 1 p.m. match.
