INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Washburn Ichabod athletic team wrapped up a successful fall season ranking 15th in the first Learfield Directors' Cup Standings one-third through the academic year. The Ichabods tallied 185 total points, ranking second amongst all MIAA schools.
Propelled by the Ichabod soccer program's Final Four appearance, Washburn scored 83 team points after reaching the NCAA National semifinals for the second time in three years.
The Ichabod men's cross country team added 52 points to the Ichabod team total by finishing 22nd at the NCAA Championships.
Washburn's volleyball team scored 50 points after reaching the NCAA Regional semifinals, earning a bid for its 19th NCAA appearance.
The Ichabods recorded their highest finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup Standings last year by finishing 15th overall and was the second-highest MIAA school in the final standings.
