TOPEKA, Kan. – Washburn Athletics is excited to unveil the 2025–26 Theme Night & Promotional Schedule for Ichabod Men's and Women's Basketball. This year's conference slate is packed with fan giveaways, themed game experiences, community engagement events, and special group nights—offering something for every Ichabod supporter. 

The excitement is amplified inside the newly renovated, $8 million upgraded Lee Arena, which will provide an enhanced game-day atmosphere throughout the season. Conference play begins on Thursday, December 4, when Washburn hosts the Nebraska Kearney Lopers. Below is the full list of theme nights and promotions fans can look forward to this season: 

2025–26 Theme Night Schedule 

December 6 | 1 & 3 PM vs Fort Hays State – White Out 

Help turn Lee Arena white! 
  
The first 1,000 fans will receive a complimentary White Out T-shirt courtesy of Washburn Athletics. 

 
December 13 | 1 & 3 PM vs Central Missouri – Student Athlete Advisory Committee Teddy Bear Toss 

Sponsored by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)** 
 
During halftime of the Men's game, fans are encouraged to participate in the Teddy Bear Toss, with stuffed animals being thrown onto the court for donations to Toys for Tots. 
 
Bears will be available for purchase at the entrance, or fans may bring their own stuffed animals to the game 
 
The first 100 fans who bring or purchase a stuffed animal to the Women's game will receive a Washburn Rally Towel                                           

Additionally, the Washburn Family of the Year will be recognized during the doubleheader! 


December 16 | 6 PM vs Truman State (Women's) – Season of Giving Game 

Join us as we celebrate the start of the holiday season during our final home game of 2025! 
 
Washburn Women's Basketball is partnering with Gentiva Hospice for our 1st annual Season of Giving Game vs Truman State University.  The first 250 people to bring TWO non-perishable food or household/ toiletry items will receive a Washburn Basketball holiday shirt. All items will be donated to The Lotus House of Topeka.  
 
Bring your holiday spirit and help send off our Women's team with great energy before they return in 2026! 


**January 3 | 1 & 3 PM vs Emporia State – Youth/Bods Care Night 

Empowered by Envista** 
 
A fun-filled afternoon featuring pop-a-shot, giant inflatable cornhole, giveaways, and more. 
 
All youth (8th grade and under) who mention their school at the ticket window receive a $5 ticket.

Kids wearing their Junior Bods T-shirt will be recognized on-court during a timeout. 

 

**January 21 | 5:30 & 7:30 PM vs Northwest Missouri State – Faculty/Staff Appreciation

Celebrate the Washburn faculty and staff who make campus special. 
 
Select individuals, chosen by both basketball programs, will be honored as Most Valuable Professors. 
 
More details on complimentary items and ticket information for faculty/staff will be released soon. 
 
Hy-vee will also provide 100 free T-shirts to the first 100 fans at the Women's game 

 

**January 24 | 1 & 3 PM vs Missouri Western – Alumni Game

All former Ichabod Men's and Women's Basketball players are invited back to Topeka for this special mid-season matchup.

Help raise awareness during our annual Pink Out game. 
 
Fans are encouraged to wear pink, and various community engagement activities and giveaways will be featured throughout the evening.                             

More information will be announced in partnership with Stormont Vail as the date approaches 


**February 25 | 1 & 3 PM vs Pittsburg State – Student Appreciation 

Presented by the Kansas Department of Insurance** 
 
Washburn Athletics gives back to the student body with one of the biggest giveaway days of the year. 
 
Prizes include TVs, speakers, electronics, gift cards, and more.

**February 28 | 1 & 3 PM vs Missouri Southern – Senior Day 

Men's Game Televised on 38 the Spot (Kansas City)** 
 
Celebrate the seniors from both programs during our final home doubleheader of the regular season. 
 
Game times are switched: the Men will play at 1 PM to accommodate TV coverage on 38 the Spot, followed by the Women's game.
