WICHITA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's track and field team opened day one of the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State on Friday. Day two will continue on Saturday and the Ichabods will also have student-athletes competing at the Arkansas Spring Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. on Saturday as well.

Sam Nesbitt recorded the best finish for the Ichabods on the opening day in Wichita with a fifth-place finish in the 1500m in a time of 3:52.89.
 
On the women's side, Jolie Evans led the day one competitors finishing 31st in the 1500m in a time of 4:57.60.
