Ichabod athletic program finishes program-best 15th in Learfield Directors' Cup Final Standings

6/10/2025 11:00:00 AM

CLEVELAND, Ohio  – The Washburn Ichabod athletic program recorded its best finish in school history in the 2024-25 Learfield Directors' Cup standings released today, placing 15th overall. The Ichabods were 21st in 2021 and 25th in 2024 before this season's record-breaking showing. The Ichabods were also the second-highest ranked team in the MIAA.

Twelve of Washburn's 17 teams scored points in this season's Learfield Directors' Cup standings. For the final standings, 15 sports are counted in the final DII standings, four of which must be women's volleyball and basketball, and men's basketball and baseball. The next highest (11 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
