TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Riko Konno from Ichabod tennis and Leah Henke from Ichabod soccer have been named the Hy-Vee Student-Athletes of the Week for action ending Sept. 7.

Riko Konno went a combined 5-0 in her first home competition as an Ichabod at the Washburn Invitational. She went 3-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles with Saajida Razick, both in the main draws at the tournament. She is undefeated on the year in both singles and doubles. 

Freshman Leah Henke scored the opening two goals in Friday night's win on the road against Drury. The Wichita native opened the scoring with a goal in the 15th minute and again in the 53rd. Henke has tallied up three goals in the first four games of the season.
