No. 3 Ichabods have two players of Bevo Award top 50 watch list

Fort Myers, Fla. – The No. 3-ranked Washburn Ichabod basketball team had two players named to the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List announced today by the Small College Basketball for players from the NCAA Division II and III ranks as well as the NAIA, the USCAA and the NCCAA. Named to the watch list from the Ichabods were Jack Bachelor and Dillon Claussen.

Claussen leads the Ichabods in scoring at 15.6 ppg and in rebounds at 6.4 per contests. He is 10th in the nation in field goal percentage at 62.3 which also leads the MIAA. He is also 46th in the nation in blocks with 35.

Bachelor is scoring 14.9 ppg with a team-high 99 assists and 65 3-pointers this season. He ranks 73rd in the nation in total assists and he is 28th in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.53 to 1. He is also 62nd in steals with 43 and 29th in 3-point field goal percentage at 41.1 percent and 35th in total 3-pointers made with.

The Ichabods will go out on their final road trip of the regular season with games at Central Oklahoma on Feb. 19 and Rogers State on Feb. 21 before wrapping up the last week of the regular season hosting Pittsburg State on Feb. 25 and then will end the regular season hosting Missouri Southern at 1 p.m. in the MIAA Game of the Week facing the Lions on 38 The Spot in Kansas City.

The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.  This is an incredibly prestigious award, as this award will only be given to one player within Small College Basketball per season.
