TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Jasel Bailey from Ichabod tennis and Caleb Lunnon from Ichabod baseball have been named the Hy-Vee Student Athletes of the Week for their performances last week ending on Feb. 22.

Jasel Bailey helped No. 11 Washburn to a 4-2 home win over No. 8 Midwestern State on Sunday afternoon, moving the Ichabods to 3-0. Bailey and Saajida Razick won a 6-1 match at No. 3 doubles to begin the day. In Singles she won her final two sets on court four to provide the match-clinching point in the top-10 victory. 

Caleb Lunnon threw six innings in Washburn's MIAA-opening 6-4 win over Newman on Friday afternoon, helping the Ichabods open conference play with a 2-1 series victory over the Jets. Lunnon allowed just two runs on four hits in his 6.0 innings while striking out a career-high 10 batters.
