KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Washburn senior triple jumper
Justin Forde has been named the MIAA's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after his record-breaking performance last weekend at the Washburn Open.
Forde recorded a school and meet record in the event with a mark of 15.94m (52-03.75) winning the event. That jump is the longest in the NCAA Division II ranks this season and longer than the second-best jump on the season list by 13.5 inches. Forde's jump is the 27th-best mark in all of collegiate triple jumps this season as well.
