INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Washburn women's basketball is heading to the NCAA Tournament for the 18th time in program history and the first time since the 2012-13 season. They earned the No. 5 seed in the Central Region and will face the No. 4 seed Central Missouri for a second straight game in the first round.
Washburn heads to Mankato, Minn. for the regional on the campus of the No. 1 seed in the region, the Minnesota State Mavericks. The Ichabods enter the tournament on a nine-game winning streak and with an overall record of 24-7 after winning the MIAA Tournament Championship defeating Central Missouri on Sunday afternoon.
Game time against the Jennies will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13 inside the Taylor Center in Mankato.
