KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Levi Risenhoover was named the MIAA Hitter of the Week on Monday afternoon earning the first conference Athlete of the Week award for the Ichabods this season.
Risenhoover helped Washburn to a 4-0 week with a mid-week win over Northwestern Oklahoma State and weekend sweep of Arkansas-Fort Smith. At the plate he went 9-for-17 (.529) with a 1.118 slugging percentage and 1.697 OPS across the four victories. He totaled five extra-base hits, including two home runs, while leading the league with 10 RBI on the week and scoring eight runs himself. In the series finale 10-0 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith, the junior from Euless, Texas went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple and a walk while driving in four runs and scoring three.
The Ichabods are back in action on Tuesday taking on Fort Hays State in Hays, Kan. with first pitch set for 3 p.m.
