KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's basketball team placed six student-athletes on the MIAA Academic Award listing for winter sports announced on Tuesday by the MIAA. The Ichabods also added one to the Scholar Athlete list after recording at least a 3.5 grade point average while earning all-MIAA honors.

Earning MIAA Scholar Athlete honors were: Brady Christiansen (Marketing), Jack Bachelor (Marketing), Sam Ungashick (Accounting), Marcus Glock (Biology), Cole Parker (Kinesiology) and Dillon Claussen (Business).

Bachelor was also named to the MIAA Scholar Athlete listing after earning first-team all-MIAA this season.

The Ichabods recorded both the MIAA regular season and tournament championships finishing ranked No. 3 in the final NABC rankings with a 31-2 record after replacing four starters from the 2024-25 NCAA Final Four squad. The Ichabods finished the MIAA slate with an 18-1 record winning the league title by four games and the Ichabods also spent the entire season inside the top five of the NABC top 25 coaches poll including seven weeks at No. 1 in the rankings.
Overall, 54 men's basketball players were named to the 2025-26 MIAA Academic Honor Roll. To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution.
