Ian Luce from Ichabod baseball and
Dalaney Anderson from Ichabod softball have been named the Hy-Vee Student Athletes of the Week for their performances last week ending on April 19.
Ian Luce led the Ichabod offense with another big week at the plate hitting 12/21 (.571) with a pair of home runs. He reached base at a .591 clip for tally a 1.543 OPS on the week as he extended his hitting streak to 22-games and continued to reach base in every game this season. He slashed multiple hits in all four games, including going 4-5 with a home run and a double in Washburn's win over Rogers State. He racked up nine RBIs while scoring six runs himself.
Dalaney Anderson drove in 10 runs in four games last week as the Ichabods were 3-1 sweeping Northwest Missouri and splitting with Missouri Western recording a .923 slugging percentage … She recorded 6 RBI in the Missouri Western series with three in each game coming on a pair of 3-run homers … in the second game against the Bearcats, she drove in four more runs on two doubles. Anderson recorded her 61st RBI on Sunday, placing her one behind the Ichabod single-season record entering next week's series with Emporia State.
