LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Washburn sophomore outfielder
Makenzie Sais has been named first-team all-Central Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association after her record-breaking season for the Ichabods.
Sais currently leads all three levels of NCAA softball in stolen bases with an MIAA and school record 69 this season en route to first-team all-MIAA honors. Sais led the Ichabods with a .421 batting average with 75 hits and 48 runs scored and a .507 on base percentage. She was also selected as a MIAA Gold Glove pick by the league coaches.
Sais is the first, first-team NFCA selection for the Ichabods since Marrit Mead and
Jaycee Ginter were named in 2022.
