KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) released its men's and women's golf preseason coaches poll on Thursday morning. Both Washburn teams were picked to finish second. 

The Washburn men were picked second with 71 points and three first-place votes, placing six points behind Central Oklahoma. 

The men's team opens its season on Sept. 7-8 at The Mule, hosted by Central Missouri. 

The Washburn women received 106 points and four first-place votes, placing four points behind Rogers State. 

The women's team opens its season the following week at the Missouri Southern Fall Invite on Sept. 14-15.
