Washburn Women’s Golf Season Ends at Central Regional

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Washburn Women's Golf Team's season ended Wednesday evening at the NCAA DII Women's Central Regional.

The Ichabods' season ended after finishing 7th at the regional tournament, finishing outside of the top-5 to advance to the NCAA National Championships. Washburn ends their second year as a program that made history as it had its highest ever finish at the NCAA Regionals & MIAA Championships. They also had 7 top-5 finishes on the season that included their first-ever tournament win at their first-ever home tournament, the Firekeeper Open. 

Angelina Borg-Malec ended her collegiate career Wednesday with a tie for 15th. In her Ichabod career, she had nine top-10 finishes and had six rounds even par or below. 

Keira Ronsick tied for 24th and shot a final round 79. She had four top-10s on the season, with 3 of them also being inside the top-5. 

Susana Granados Carrion finished the Regional tournament tied for 33rd. This year, she had six top-5 finishes, the most in Washburn Ichabod Women's golf history. 

Raegan Petersen ends her season tied for 40th. This season, she dropped her average score by over four shots compared to her freshman season. 

Aliyah North tied for 65th and finished her Junior season with a one-shot-better scoring average compared to her first season as an Ichabod.
