Washburn's Audrie Miller and Lisa Fahey were both named to the MIAA's Presidential Scholar list for the 2006-07 season. Miller is a junior tennis player from McPherson, Kan., and Fahey, a sophomore soccer player from Parkville, Mo.

Conference recognizes 52 student-athletes with cumulative 4.00 GPAs
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association is proud to announce the names of 52 student-athletes earning recognition on the 2006-07 MIAA Presidential Scholars list.
To gain this distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative 4.00 grade-point average -- undergraduate or graduate -- and complete a minimum of two terms of attendance at the nominating institution. Those redshirting during their season are not eligible.
There were 19 male student-athletes and 33 female student-athletes who earned this honor.
