KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabods placed two offensive players and three defensive players on the All-MIAA first team announced by the conference offices today. The No. 25 ranked Ichabods (8-3, 7-2) will make their second NCAA postseason playoff appearance in the last three years when they face No. 4 ranked West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas on Saturday.
Senior offensive lineman
Eric Eisenbarth was a unanimous first team all-MIAA selection as Ichabods averaged 201 yards per game on the ground with an 1,000-yard back. He helped to anchor a line which gave up only 1.4 sacks per game and a line that averaged 394 yards per game in total offense.
Senior
Cary Williams was named first team all-MIAA as a kickoff returner after he returned two kickoffs for TD's which tied a WU single-season record and is a WU career record as well. Williams ranks third in the NCAA with 29.2 yards per kickoff return.
Williams also received unanimous first team all-MIAA honors as a defensive back after recording seven interceptions. He returned one pick for a TD. he leads MIAA in interceptions and ranks fifth in NCAA D2 in INT's per game. His seven picks is the second most in WU single-season history needing one more to tie record.
Senior Eric Bulter was selected as a first team all-MIAA at defensive tackle. Butler is tied for team lead with 5.5 sacks and third on the squad with 7.5 tackles for loss. Butler also had three carries for three touchdowns as fullback.
Sophomore linebacker
Zach Watkins was the Ichabods' final first team all-conference selection. Watkins currently leads the MIAA in tackles per game with 11.8 per contest. He ranks eighth in the nation in total tackles and 22nd in the nation in solo tackles with 5.6 per game. His 130 tackles this season is the second most in school history in a single-season and his 230 career tackles is seventh all-time at Washburn. He recorded 19 tackles against Colorado Mines en route to MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honors and won the award again after the Pittsburg State game. Watkins had 20 tackles (12 solo) against Central Missouri, which was the highest game total since 1984.
Earning second team all-MIAA honors on offense were senior wide receiver

Lebahn leads the Ichabods with 31 receptions for 602 yards averaging 19.4 yards per catch. He also has four touchdowns. Rickard started the season at right guard, but moved to right tackle before the Missouri Western game. Walker is second on the team with 692 rushing yards on 143 carries. He has 10 toucdhdowns this season. Walker also has three touchdown receptions catching 22 passes for 387 yards averaging 17.6 yards per catch.
Junior defensive end
Eric Lawrence was a second team all-MIAA pick. His 14.5 tackles for loss leads the team and is fifth in MIAA and his 5.5 sacks is seventh in the MIAA.
