Tessa Jones recorded 10 kills to move one away from joining the 1,000 kill club, now with 999 in her career.
Kate Hampson had 42 assists to lead the offense to its second straight match hitting .360 or better as a team. She hit .833 herself with five kills and no errors in six attempts while
Stephanie Nitz led the Lady Blue hitters with a .467 attack percentage (nine kills, two errors, 15 attempts).
The Washburn defense was led by
Erica Cowhick with 12 digs and Miesner recorded a double-double with 10 digs. Nitz had four total blocks, including two solo efforts.
Cowhick recorded her 80th career double-figure dig match to put her all alone in first at Washburn. She entered the match tied with Dani McHenry and she is already the school's career total digs leader.
