KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - DeAndre Eggins had 22 points as the Ichabods held off the Bulldogs, 66-58 Saturday night in MIAA action.

Washburn will now take a break from MIAA action and play in the Hoop N Surf Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii, Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday the Ichabods (6-2, 3-0 MIAA) will play No. 8 BYU-Hawaii (3-0) at 8:30 p.m. Hawaii time and Thursday they will play Chaminade (1-4) at 4 p.m. Hawaii time.

Eggins was 6 of 12 from the field and 3 of 5 from 3-point range, all off the bench. Darnell Kimble had nine points to lead the starters and Paul Byers led with eight rebounds.

The Ichabods shot a season-low 37 percent in the game while Truman (5-3, 0-3 MIAA) shot 34 percent.

Eggins and Mario Scott led WU with three assists each and WU blocked six shots with Kimble leading with three.

TSU out-rebounded WU 42-35 but turned the ball over 20 times while WU gave it away 15 times.
