Ichabod football team receives votes in two preseason polls

TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod football team received votes in both the American Football Coaches Association Poll and the D2football.com preseason polls which were released today. The Ichabods will open the 2009 season on Aug. 28 against the Colorado School of Mines in Golden. The Orediggers also received votes in both polls.

In the AFCA poll, the Ichabods received 22 points while the Orediggers received 30. Washburn was one of six MIAA schools who received votes in the poll.
