With NCAA Division II National Signing Day set for February 4, mark your calendars and join Washburn Athletics and Washburn Football on Thursday, February 5, from 6 to 8 PM at Wings Etc. in Topeka as we celebrate the next generation of Ichabods.

Head Coach Zach Watkins and his staff will highlight the 2026 signing class and introduce the future of Washburn Football. Fans will enjoy highlights and short video clips of the newest Ichabods, along with insight from each position coach about their respective groups.

The evening will begin with a social hour and meet and greet from 6:00 to approximately 6:45 PM. Coach Watkins will then take the mic to discuss the class, visit with fans, and recognize those supporting Washburn Football and the newest wave of Ichabods.

Washburn Athletics would like to extend a big thank you to Wings Etc. in Topeka for hosting this live event. The celebration will take place at 2139 SW Fairlawn Plaza Drive, and fans are encouraged to mark their calendars and join us.

The Ichabods are coming off the first season under Head Coach Zach Watkins, finishing 3-8 overall and 2-7 in MIAA play. Washburn will open the 2026 season on the road at Truman State on August 29, before returning to Yager Stadium for the home opener on September 5 against Colorado School of Mines. Season ticket information will be available in the coming months.
