The Washburn Ichabod football team jumped from unranked to No. 17 in the nation in the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll which was released today. The Washburn Ichabods, coming off a 36-21 win over No. 11 Central Missouri, will play host to Fort Hays State on Oct. 3 in Yager Stadium at 1 p.m. TheTigers topped Fort Hays State last time out 40-20 at home. Both teams enter the contest with identical 4-1, 2-1 records.
The No. 17 ranking is the highest the Ichabods have been tabbed since the second regular season poll of the 2008 season when they were ranked No. 18.
