Washburn took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third after
Jacque Horejsi scored on a single by
Katie Schroeder. The Dust Devils tied the score in the bottom of the frame on a home run by Victoria Beltran. Texas A&M-International won the game in the bottom of the seventh on a walk off home run by Beltran who hit her second home run of the day.
Alex Zordel had two hits to lead the Lady Blues while
Danielle Fox (0-4) took the loss in the circle.

Kelsie Novotny tossed the first Washburn no-hitter since Kelly Swygert tossed on against Southwest Baptist on March 28, 2007 in a 7-0 win over Newman. Washburn took advantage of eight Jet errors in the win. Novotny struck out two while getting 11 ground ball outs. Washburn scored two runs in the first inning with RBI singles by
Shelby Erickson, who later scored on an error. The Lady Blues added one more in the bottom of the second when
Marissa Martin scored on another error by the Jets. In the fifth, Washburn scored a solo run when
Alex Zordel scored on an error by the centerfielder. In the sixth inning, Washburn scored three runs
Lindsey Moore scored while
Jessie McGown singled sending Zordel home.
