Scene Setter
The Washburn Lady Blues finish out the regular season at home in Yager Stadium with matches against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Friday and then the Northeastern State RiverHawks on Sunday. Washburn is coming off an 0-2 week after falling to Missouri Southern and Western State. The Lady Blues sit in ninth place in the MIAA standings, two points out of eighth place overall with two matches to play. The top eight teams in the final standings qualify for the MIAA Tournament starting on Oct. 30. Prior to the Lady Blues regular season finale against Northeastern State, Washburn will honor seniors Lindsey Lambert, Tia Stovall and Leah Talley who will be playing their final match in Yager Stadium.

Story lines
• Washburn is -11 in goals overall this season, but +1 in MIAA matches.
• The Lady Blues are 5-2-2 all-time in senior day matches.
• Washburn head coach Tim Collins is 1-1-1 against Central Oklahoma and he has never faced Northeastern State.
• Senior Leah Talley leads the team with six goals. Caysie Beetley leads the Lady Blues with five assists and 15 points overall.
• Talley has two match-winning goals for Washburn as does fellow senior Tia Stovall.
• Sophomore Tori Fuglister has played 1268 minutes in goal allowing 25 goals with 76 saves and a 1.77 goal against average.
• Fuglister picked up her first shutout win in the victory over Emporia State earlier this season. She added another shutout win in the victory over Missouri Western. Fuglister notched her third victory in the 3-2 win over Lindenwood. Sophomore Jenna Lack picked up the win over Nebraska-Kearney in the 7-1 victory.
• Washburn has been outshot this season 225 to 166.
• Talley is tied for second in the Washburn program's history with six match-winning goals … her 44 career points is fifth all-time at Washburn and her eight assists is tied for ninth all-time for the Lady Blues.
• Stovall is third all-time with 16 career assists and tied for second with six match-winning goals …her 38 career points is eighth all-time at Washburn.
• Senior Tia Stovall was a second team all-MIAA pick for the third season in a row.
• Senior Leah Talley was an honorable mention all-MIAA pick in 2011 and 2010 after earning second team all-MIAA honors as a freshman.
• Lady Blues assistant coach Kaney Tyler was a four-year letterwinner for Missouri Southern and holds the Lions' career records for goalkeeper minutes played, shutouts, saves, wins, goal against average and was the MIAA's MVP as a sophomore.

Last time out for the Lady Blues (10/14/2012)
TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues fell 2-1 to Western State in non-conference action in Yager Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Blues took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break as Leah Talley scored her sixth goal of the season off a rebounded shot from Megan Buckley who received the assist on the play. The goal came in the 21st minute to wrap up the first stanza scoring.
In the second half, both of the Mountaineers' goals came within seven minutes of each other and both were scored by Sadie Stark who scored her first two goals of the season. The first was on an assist from Elyza Montano off a shot two yards out and the second on a break away from 10 yards out.
Washburn (4-12) and Western State each had 12 shots in the match and Western State was whistled for 12 fouls to seven for Washburn.

About Central Oklahoma
• The Bronchos are 12-1-3 overall and 7-0-3 in MIAA play.
• The Bronchos tied Northeastern State last time out on Oct. 19 1-1. The Bronchos are 4-0-1 on the road this season.
• Brittni Walker has seven of the Bronchos 32 goals this season and two match-winning goals.
• Meagan Burke has played in 15 of the Broncho's 16 matches this season and has seven shutouts to go along with a 0.58 goal against average.

Series history with Central Oklahoma
• The series is tied 1-1-1 in three all-time meetings.
• The Lady Blues won the last meeting 4-3 on Sept. 10, 2008 in Wichita, Kan.
• Central Oklahoma has outscored the Lady Blues 9-7 in the three meetings.
• Washburn has scored at least three goals in two of the three matches against the Bronchos.
• This will be the first meeting of the two teams in Topeka.

Last Meeting with the Bronchos (Sept. 10, 2008)
WICHITA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues scored four unanswered goals and held off a late charge by the Bronchos in a 4-3 win over No. 22 ranked Central Oklahoma.
The Lady Blues fell behind 2-0 after goals by UCO's Stephanie Lovely in the 11th minute and the Bronchos added another goal in the 24th minute as Lovely assisted on McKenzie Caldwell's first goal of the season.
Washburn's Danielle Ayala scored the Lady Blues' first goal of the night on a corner kick 33:42 into the match. Just 54 seconds later, Lisa Fahey found Lauren Henry racing toward the net and hit her on a free kick from 33 yards out knotting the score at 2-2. Neither team would add any scoring in the remainder of the first half.
In the second half, Fahey scored her first goal of the season in the 53rd minute on a free kick putting Washburn up 3-2.
After 25 minutes of scoreless play, Ayala and Jessica Mainz had a break away and Mainz put the Ayala's assist into the net for her second goal of the season. The goal would also turn out to be the game-winner as UCO's Ashton Morris scored her fist goal of the season in the 85th minute to cut the lead to 4-3.
Ashley Klone picked up the win in goal recording three saves while facing 18 shots. Washburn finished with 15 shots in the match and were outshot in the second half 11 to 4 after holding an 11-7 advantage after the first 45 minutes of play.
There were a total of 23 fouls called with 12 going against Central Oklahoma. The Bronchos were also whistled for two yellow cards in the second half.

About Northeastern State
• Northeastern State is 10-4-1 this season and 5-4-1 in MIAA play.
• The RiverHawks have outscored their opponents 35 to 18 and have outshot their opponents 323 to 154.
• Rachel Sordahl has eight of the RiverHawks' 35 goals this season, including three match-winning goals.
• Maggie Kloza has a 1.10 goals against average in twelve matches this season.

Series history with Northeastern State
• Sunday's meeting will be the first between the two teams.
