The Ichabods will begin the second half of the MIAA season in a five-way tie for first and they can break up part of the log jam at the top as they return home for two matches this weekend. They'll host Northwest Missouri Friday at 7 p.m. and then have a chance to avenge one of their two losses when they host Missouri Western Saturday at 6 p.m. Both matches are at Schendel Court in Lee Arena and Friday's match is a Pink Out match. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness.
Ichablogging Weekly Notes
The fifth-ranked Ichabods will return to Schendel Court at Lee Arena for two matches during Homecoming weekend. Friday they'll host Northwest Missouri at 7 p.m. and Saturday they'll host Missouri Western at 6 p.m.

Washburn is in a five-way tie for first in the league. The Bods are 17-2 overall and 9-2 in the MIAA.
Washburn will follow these matches with five straight on the road and then wrap up the regular season with four straight at home.
The Ichabods won twice on the road last weekend then were swept in a top-10 battle at Nebraska-Kearney Tuesday night.
Washburn went 2-2 against the other four teams tied atop the MIAA standings. The Bods beat UCM and UCO and lost at MWSU and UNK.
Marissa Cox earned her 1,000th career kill 9/19 against NWMSU. She is now 16th in WU career history with 1,109 kills. She's 39 kills away from tying her sister, Mandi Cox (2004-07) for 15th. Marissa is third in school history hitting .324 and Mandi is second with a .326 percentage. Sophomore
Sarah Vicory is also hitting .326 in her career and will be eligible to enter the chart after completing her second year.
Vicory leads the MIAA hitting .365 this year and Cox is fourth hitting .347. Cox is second in the league with 3.95 kills a set and
Leanna Willer is fifth with 3.78 a set.
Mattie-Ann Swenson is fourth with 1.27 blocks a set and
Alyssa Carney is third with 5.17 digs a set.
WU 43-19 all-time against NWMSU with nine straight wins. The Bods had won 22 straight against MWSU before the loss earlier this year. The Griffons lead that series 43-35.
The Ichabods moved up one spot for the fourth straight week and are No. 5 in this week's AVCA national poll. They have been ranked 141 straight times going back to 2003 and have been in the top 10 in all seven polls this year.
