JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabods won its 25th basketball game in a row the Lincoln Blue Tigers with a 73-55 win on Thursday night in Jason Gymnasium. Washburn will return to the court on Saturday at Lindenwood.

Kyle Wiggins scored a career-high 31 points with 18 coming in the second half hitting 12 of 20 shots overall including 4 of 8 from 3-point range leading Washburn to its second-straight win.
The Ichabods (6-7, 2-1 MIAA) only trailed at 6-4 with 15:56 to play as both teams jumped out to a slow start before the Ichabods would take a 34-17 lead into the break after outscoring the Blue Tigers (4-8, 1-2 MIAA) 30-13 over the remaining time in the half.
The Blue Tigers would not get any closer than 11 in the second half at 64-53.
The win was the 11th in a row over the Blue Tigers in Jefferson City as well and improved Ichabod head coach
Bob Chipman to 25-0 all-time against the Blue Tigers.
Washburn finished shooting 49 percent from the field hitting 29 of 59 shots overall and went 8 of 10 from the free throw line all coming in the second half while forcing 14 Blue Tiger turnovers leading to 19 points for the Ichabods.

David Salach had seix points and a game-high seven rebounds.
