Washburn is 8-0 in the second game of four-game series this year but just 1-7 in game four.

Taylor Gentry is 5th at .230 and

Seven games in five days, including five at Falley Field, up next for BodsThe Ichabods will wrap up the home portion of their schedule with a four-game MIAA series against Lincoln Friday through Saturday and then a game Monday against Newman at 6 p.m. They'll then play a doubleheader Tuesday at Rockhurst at 3 p.m.
The Ichabods will host the Blue Tigers in a doubleheader Friday at 2 p.m. and then a doubleheader Saturday at noon. Washburn's 10 seniors will be honored between games Saturday.
Washburn is 18-19 overall and seventh in the MIAA at 17-15. The Ichabods dropped three of four last weekend at Nebraska-Kearney and are looking to snap a three-game losing streak after they fell 7-6 in a non-conference game against Emporia.
Lincoln is 1-32 overall and 0-28 in the MIAA with seven sweeps in four-game series. Newman is 18-20 and will play three times before its game at Washburn. Rockhurst is 14-21 will play four times before hosting the Ichabods.
The doubleheader at Rockhurst will start a stretch of seven straight games on the road to end the regular season.

Eric Schmid will play their final home series this weekend and be honored between games Saturday during the Senior Day ceremony.
Sean Dalton will also join him as he finishes his career. He played in three games in 2012 but injuries have kept him from playing since then.
Ash climbs to third in career wins and strikeoutsSenior
Brett Ash moved is seven strikeouts away from second in school history after he got one last week at Nebraska-Kearney. He's third with 181 career strikeouts and he is trying to catch Mike Lineback (1982-85) for second with 188. The school record is 215 set by Jake Lenherr (2003-06).
Ash pitched his fourth straight complete game win at UNK and he's second at Washburn with 21 career victories. Three more would tie him with Lenherr. He also extended his school record to 24 complete games.
Ash is tied for first at Washburn with 37 career games started and second with 248.0 innings pitched. His career ERA of 3.23 is ninth among WU pitchers with at least 100 innings and third among pitchers with 200 innings.
Ash leads the MIAA in ERA and opponent batting averageBrett Ash leads the MIAA with a 1.19 ERA and a .153 opponent batting average. He's allowed just five earned runs and 21 hits in six starts.
Ash has not allowed more than five hits and two earned runs in a game this year.
Carnahan enters weekend with 16-game hitting streak and .406 batting averageKyle Carnahan has nearly been on a season-long offensive streak as he's reached base safely in all but one game. He's currently on a 16-game hitting streak that raised his average from .300 to .409, the fifth highest average in the MIAA this year. He's second in the league with a .518 on-base percentage.
Carnahan was last held without a hit on March 22 in the third game at Pittsburg State.
Carnahan is batting .500 (20 for 40) in his current hitting streak with a .600 on-base percentage. He's also walked five times and was hit by a pitch five times.
Ichabods tough in the middleWashburn is 8-0 in the second game of four-game MIAA series this year. The Ichabods are 5-3 in the third games to make them 13-3 in the middle two games of the series. They are 3-5 in openers and 1-7 in finales. Washburn has won four series, lost three and split one this year.
The Ichabods have had three opportunities to finish a four-game sweep but have come up short in game four all three times.
Doubleheaders mean at least one win for IchabodsThe Ichabods are 16-8 this year in doubleheaders and they have swept four of their 12 twin bills. They split the other eight and have not been swept in a doubleheader this year.
Washburn is 9-3 in the opener and 7-5 in the finale.
About LincolnThe Blue Tigers have gone 0-28 in the MIAA with seven four-game sweeps and they are 1-32 overall. They dropped four straight at Emporia State in their last action.
Ben Stewart leads the team with a .343 batting average and 21 RBI. He and Josh Kennedy have five RBI. Joe Jungmeyer has a 9.60 ERA to lead the starting rotation.
About NewmanThe Jets are 18-20 this year and 11-10 in the Heartland Conference. The Jets will host a three-game series over the weekend against St. Mary's (Texas) before coming to Topeka.
Alex Lator leads the team with a .346 batting average and Mitchell Beaudreau is batting .336 with four triples. Zak Mickens is 6-3 with a 3.90 ERA and Brandon Roberts leads the bullpen with a 1.23 ERA in 16 appearances.
About RockhurstThe Hawks are 14-21 this year and 12-11 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. They'll host Drury this weekend in a four-game series before welcoming Washburn on Tuesday.
Josh Dennet is batting .398 this year but Washburn held him to just 1 of 5 batting in the two games played earlier this month in Topeka. Josh Tols leads the pitching staff with a 2.47 ERA and he's 3-5.
Keeping up with the changesThe Ichabods have had numerous games postponed or moved and didn't play their first home game until March 14, the latest date in recorded school history.
All but one of those games has been rescheduled with the March 5 home game against William Jewell being the only one that hasn't been rescheduled.
Up NextThe Ichabods will wrap up the MIAA season with a four-game series April 25-27 at Northeastern State. They will then wrap up the regular season April 29 at William Jewell.
Washburn is seventh in the MIAA standings and will look to finish in the top eight to earn a spot in the conference tournament. The top four teams will host Nos. 5-8 in a best of three series May 2-4 in the first round of the tournament. The remaining rounds will be played May 8-10 in Springfield, Mo.
