• The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis returns to action on Feb. 19 when they will take on NCAA Division I foe Missouri-Kansas City at the Kansas City Racquet Club.
• Washburn won the only meeting in school history against UMKC on April 6, 1993 in an 8-1 win over the Kangaroos.
• Washburn enters the match with a 2-1 record after falling at No. 30 Drury on Feb. 5 before topping McKendree 8-1 the following day.
• UMKC is 2-5 this season and have lost its last five matches after falling 4-0 at Illinois State on Feb. 13.

Former Ichabod tennis player
Lance Lysaught is in his second season as the Ichabod women's head coach. He is 17-32 as a women's collegiate head coach in his fourth season and 11-14 at Washburn.

The Ichabods will be off the court for match action until opening MIAA play against Lincoln on March 11. They will have three matches in three days with the Blue Tigers, Hastings on March 12 and then Southwest Baptist on March 13.
