KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team fell 7-0 at NCAA Division I foe Missouri-Kansas CIty on Friday night at the Kansas CIty Racquet Club. The Ichabods will open MIAA play on March 11 against Lincoln.

The Ichabods lost double matches at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles before the No. 2 team of Gwen Shepler and Maggie Plum won their match 6-4 over Mariam Kurasbediani and Rqauel Argenal. The match was scored in NCAA Division I scoring rules with one point going to the winner of the majority of doubles matches with each singles match counting for one point.

The Kangaroos (3-4) swept singles play over the Ichabods (2-2). Jodie Blackim split sets at No. 2 singles before falling 11-9 in the tiebreaker.
