•  The Washburn Ichabod softball team looks to continue its winning ways against Newman on Tuesday in Wichita, Kan.
•  The Ichabods have won their last four games and enter the game with a 12-12 overall record.
•  Washburn went 4-1 at the Apple Market Regional Crossover winning its final four games of the event.
•  The Jets are 10-20 this season winning their last two games against Texas A&M International on March 18-19.
•  The Ichabods will continue their 11-game roadtrip back in MIAA play starting with Missouri Southern on March 25 and at Pittsburg State on March 26.•  Sophomore infielder Cassidy Merriman is tied for the team lead with 18 runs scored leading the team with 29 hits and 21 RBI …  this season she has eight multi-RBI games and has reached base in each of the last 22 games … the 22-game streak is the longest by an Ichabod since Lauren Thimmesch reached base in 20-straight games last season.
•  Senior second baseman Taylor Zimmerman has 26 hits this season and a team-high seven home runs … her 18 RBI is second on the team and her .693 slugging percentage is first on the squad … she was named the NFCA National Player of the Week following the weekend games with Lindenwood and Lincoln.
•  Senior outfielder Haylee Marsteller is third on the team with a .333 batting average.
•  Freshman catcher Lacie Myers is batting .329 this season with 10 RBI and two home runs.
•  Freshman infielder Erin Keeney is batting .310 with 26 hits which is tied for second on the team … her 14 runs scored is third and her 12 RBI is fifth on the team … Keeney leads the team with 10 multi-hit games.
•  Senior infielder Marina Quimby is fourth on the team with 25 hits.
•  Junior pitcher Samantha Carson leads the team with a 2.47 earned run average in 82 1/3 innings pitched going 6-5 in the circle … in relief she has pitched 10 1/3 innings with a 0.68 earned run average striking out five allowing only one earned run recording a 2-0 record.
• Haylee Marsteller drove in her 50th run of her career at the regional crossover … … her 61 walks are sixth on the Ichabod career chart.
•  Marina Quimby needs six runs for 100 for her career … … she needs nine more runs scored to move into the top 10 at Washburn.
•  Taylor Zimmerman's 17 career home runs are 12th at Washburn and Cassidy Merriman's 17 home runs are tied with Zimmerman for 12th.

•  Taylor Mannis leads the team with a .370 batting average scoring 19 runs with 34 hits.
•  Katie Ingles leads the team with five wins going 5-4 overall with a 2.77 ERA.
 ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod softball team won its fourth-straight game topping Mary 3-1 wrapping up the Apple Market Regional Crossover at Missouri Western with a 4-1 overall record.
After a scoreless first inning, the Ichabods, who evened their record at 12-12, took a 2-0 lead on a 2-run homer by Haylee Marsteller scoring Marina Quimby who singled earlier in the inning.
Mary cut the lead in half with a solo home run in the fourth inning, but the Ichabods went back up by two on a solo home run by Lexie Myers, her first collegiate homer.
Ashley Wills improved her record to 6-6 pitching three scoreless innings in relief allowing only two hits with a walk.
Cassidy Merriman led off the game with a single reaching base for the 22nd game in a row. Lexie Myers led Washburn with two hits reaching base three times in the game.
 • was named the Washburn Ichabod head softball coach on Aug. 3, 2011 after spending four seasons at Metro State in Denver, Colo., with the final season coming as the head coach.
• is 91-116 in her fifth season on the bench at Washburn and overall Becerra has recorded a 125-134 mark in her sixth year as a head coach.
