Marquise Manning was a part of a strong Washburn defense that was pivotal throughout Saturday's 23-20 overtime victory over Fort Hays State. With 3:53 remaining in the opening half, the Ichabod defense held the Tigers to a 23-yard field goal attempt that was blocked by Manning to keep the game within a touchdown. In addition to the block, Manning finished the day with four solo tackles.

Sierra Mortensen led the Ichabods at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open with a fourth-place individual finish with a time of 17:55.7, the second-fastest 5K time in Washburn's record book. Mortensen owns five of the top six times for the Ichabods, including the fastest time of 17:53.10 that she achieved earlier this season at the Missouri Southern Stampede.
