TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team opened the indoor portion of its schedule in fine fashion with eight first-place finishes, 13 personal bests, three school records and an NCAA provisional at the Washburn Alumni Invitational on Saturday. Washburn will be off from competition until Jan. 15 when they will host the Washburn Rust Buster.
 
Isabella Hohl set a Washburn record in the 60m prelims with the NCAA provisional mark of 7.64 breaking her own school record in the process. Hohl also broke the school record in the 200m in a time of 25.48 taking 0.3 off her previous school record.
 
Chia Okoro set the school record in the 400m in a time of 57.22 shaving nearly three seconds off of her personal best entering the weekend.
 
The 4x400m relay time of Okoro, Lyndsay Stinson, Katelyn Jones and Hohl won the event in a time of 3:58.38.
 
Skyler Saunders won the high jump with a mark of 1.65 (5-05.00) and Virgi Scardanzan won the pole vault with a jump of 3.79m (12-05.25).
 
Alyssa Hutcherson made her collegiate debut by winning the long jump with a personal best of 5.51m (18-01.00).
