EMPORIA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's track put a bow on the 2025-26 athletic season with four more All-Americans on the final day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Emporia on Saturday.
Senior
Lexie Fontaine wrapped up her career with two first-team All-American awards separated by less than 90 minutes between the two events. Starting out, Fontaine opened with the 1500m and recorded a school-record time of 4:21.87, placing sixth. After a brief respite and podium appearance for the 1500m, Fontaine returned to the track and finished eighth in a time of 2:15.52. Overall, she scored four of Washburn's 10 points for the championship, helping the Ichabods to a tie for 27th. The All-American honor was Fontaine's third of her career.
Junior
Jake Muller earned his first All-American award with a fifth-place finish in the 400m hurdles in a time of 52.02, scoring four team points for Washburn. The time was the third-fastest performance by an Ichabod.
Senior
Justin Forde wrapped up his Ichabod career with a third-place finish with a mark of 15.94m (52-03.75) in the triple jump, earning his third All-American award at Washburn after winning the 2026 NCAA indoor title earlier this year. The mark is the fourth-best individual mark, and Forde holds the top five in program history.
The men's program tallied 10 points overall to finish in a tie for 21st at the championship.
