EMPORIA, Kan. – A partial Washburn Ichabods men's cross country team took fifth at the Emporia State Invitation on Friday night at Jones Park. The Ichabods will return to action next week at the FHSU Open in Victoria, Kan.
Gustav Morch led the Ichabods with his 25
th-place finish in a time of 27:39.69 over the 8K layout.
Brett Kulp was 31
st in a time of 27:53.17.
Cooper Griffin was 37
th in a time of 28:12.48 and
Nick Petrella was 42
nd at 28:28.95.
James Gillin placed 75
th in a time of 30:43.29 and
Troy Grabert was 80
th finishing in a time of 31:06.05.
Emporia State won the event with four runners in the top 10 recording 27 team points. Fort Hays State was second with 36 points and Newman was third with 91 points. Dodge City Community College was fourth with 143 points and the Ichabods were fifth with 166 points.
