HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's cross country finished third out of 17 teams opening the season at the Terry Masterson Twilight Invitational. The Ichabods tallied 118 points finishing behind Cloud County and Cowley College who recorded 65 and 102 total points.
 
Washburn was led by David Kibet who was fifth overall in a time of 20:45.5 in the four-miles race. Gabriel Chinya was 13^th in a time of 21:30.4. Placing 24^th was Keetan Munsell in a time of 22:15.5. Sam Steinlicht was 42^nd in a time of 23:01.3 followed by Cooper Griffin in 43^rd at 23:02.6 and Nick Petrella was 55^th in a time of 23:21.9.
 
Kael Ecord was 75^th (23:59.4) and James Gillin was 103^rd (24:56.4) and Troy Grabert was 114^th in a time of 25:16.9.
 
Washburn will be back in action on Sept. 18 at the Missouri Southern Stampede.
