TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team recorded three event winners and seven top-five finishes in its first meet of the 2022 calendar year at the Washburn Rust Buster on Saturday. Washburn will be back in action next Saturday at the All-Kansas Invite at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility.
 
Nikki Kraaijeveld picked up the win in the long jump with a personal best of 5.41m (17-09.00) and was also part of the first-place 4x400m relay team along with Chia Okoro, Lyndsay Stinson and Katelyn Jones with a time of 3:59.95.
 
Okoro also picked up a first-place win the 600-yard run with a time of 1:28.33.
 
Isabella Hohl won the 60m in a time of 7.68 after qualifying third in the prelims in a time of 7.81.
 
Taylor Grasser placed third in the 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 10.28.
 
Alyssa Hutcherson finished second in the long jump with a mark of 5.28m (17-04.00).
