TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field opened the 2022-23 season with a bang collecting six individual championships, two NCAA provisional marks and two school records at the 2022 Washburn Alumni Invitational.
 
Isabella Hohl won both the 60m prelims and the finals finishing in a time of 7.48 in the final race picking up an NCAA provisional mark. Hohl then broke her own school record in the 200m with another NCAA provisional mark of 24.74 beating her previous mark of 24.84.
 
Kim Smith made her Washburn debut with a win in the long jump with a mark of 5.68m (18-07.75).
 
Ilaria Villa won both of her events taking the shot put with a school and meet record at 13.37m (43-10.50) topping the previous school record by 3-foot-8. She also won the weight throw with a mark of 14.69m (48-02.50).
 
Kereser Augustin won the 400m dash in a time of 59.89 in her collegiate debut.
