MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabods are eighth-place after the second day of the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships and have sent into the Sunday finals as the event wraps up at Hughes Fieldhouse on the Northwest Missouri campus.
Virgi Scardanzan broke her own school record with a mark in the pole vault of 4.16m to earn second team all-MIAA honors while picking up eight team points.
Tassilyn Bolin finished seventh with a personal best of 3.61 to gain the Ichabods 1.5 team points.
Washburn's three other points on the day came from
Sierra Mortensen who finished sixth in the 5000m run in a time of 17:50.72.
Advancing to Sunday's finals in various events is
Isabella Hohl who broke her won school record in the 60m in a time of 7.48 with an NCAA provisional time and the second-fastest time in qualifying. Hohl also advanced to the finals in the 200m with a time of 24.93 which was fourth in qualifying.
Chia Okoro had the fastest qualifying time in the 600y with a school-record time of 1:23.26 and will be the one-seed in the finals.
