- Junior Svea Crohn has an overall singles record of 40-29 and a doubles record of 54-17. She is a four-time All-MIAA member, three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll member and received MIAA and ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2021
- Crohn tied Washburn's single-season doubles winning percentage mark of .895 last season
- Kinsey Fields has a career singles record of 17-11 and 39-18 doubles record in a little over 3 seasons. She has earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention at No. 2 doubles, MIAA Academic Honor Roll three times and was an MIAA Scholar-Athlete
- Sydnee Foster in her third year holds a 9-6 singles record and 5-5 in doubles action. She is a two-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll, an ITA Scholar-Athlete and earned the Academic Excellence award
- Maja Jung is 26-5 overall in singles and 20-7 in doubles. She also earned All-MIAA Second Team at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles in 2021

- Freshman Lara Schmid transferred from St. Edward's University in Texas after the tennis program was eliminated in 2020. Schmid is 3-5 in singles play and 4-4 in doubles action as an Ichabod
- Marta Torres has a 18-15 singles record, and a 21-9 doubles record in over two seasons. She was All-MIAA honorable mention at No. 6 singles and No. 1 doubles last season and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete

Scouting the Bearcats
- Southwest Baptist compiled a 19-7 record in 2020-21 and made it to the the NCAA Regionals. The Bearcats are 4-6 this season
- The Bearcats brought back four players in addition to two incoming freshmen
- SBU lost three players with both double-digit singles wins and doubles wins
- Senior Dona Abohabaga left after being ranked No. 25 in singles with a 12-8 record and held a 13-9 doubles record
- Caterina Zheng also not returning led the team with 17 doubles wins along with a 18-5 singles record
- Constanca Crespo's 15-5 singles record and 13-9 doubles record will also be missed
- Senior Diana Cabrera led the team with 19 singles wins along with going 16-8 in doubles. Cabrera is 6-3 in singles and 8-4 in doubles with freshmen Paula Ballesteros during 2021-22. She is also ranked No. 35 in singles
- Lola Cincunegui and Elsa Pascual return as well after both having 10-plus singles and doubles wins last season. However, this season they are a combined 3-15 in singles
- Ballesteros leads the team with a 7-3 singles record along with a 8-4 doubles record in just her first season
- Cabrera and Ballesteros are ranked No. 28 with an 8-4 record
- Freshman Ghada Dirninger is playing well with a 5-4 singles record and a 6-4 doubles record
Bearcats Head Coach Joao Almeida
- Joao Almeida began his first season coaching the Bearcats
- Almeida spent the past two seasons as the assistant women's tennis coach at Fort Hays State
- While at FHSU, he received a master's degree in Human and Health Performance
- Prior to FHSU, Almeida was a member of the SBU men's tennis team from 2015-19. As an athlete, he was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll three times and was a two-time recipient of the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award
Scouting the Lopers
- The Lopers posted a 6-13 season in 2020-21 but have turned it around this year with a 7-5 record and ranked No. 25 in the nation
- Nebraksa Kearney kept five players and added five freshmen
- The three players the Loper lost combined for a 10-24 singles record and 16-19 doubles record
- Melisa Becarra went from last season being 8-11 in singles and doubles to 7-4 at No. 1 singles and 6-5 in doubles
- Senior Pranathi Gannavaram was 6-11 in singles and 9-9 in doubles. In 2021-22, she is 1-0 in singles and 2-0 in double
- Jazmin Zamorano had the only winning singles and doubles record of 9-8 in singles and 9-7 in doubles last year. She is dominating this season with a 11-1 singles record and 7-5 doubles record
- Mia Sherikulova also with a turnaround season is 7-4 in singles and 7-5 in doubles
- The incoming freshmen are a huge part of the Lopers' success
- Alexis Bernthal is 7-5 mostly from No. 2 singles and 6-6 in doubles
- Freshman Masha Hatouka is 7-3 in singles and 6-5 in doubles
- Clare Plachy is 4-0 in singles along with a doubles win
- Narindra Ranaivo has a 7-3 singles record and a 7-4 doubles record
Lopers Head Coach Scott Shafer
- Scott Shafer enters his third season as the head women's tennis coach. He joined the program in 2013
- He currently a teaching professional with the Kearney Tennis Association
- Shafer also coached the Middleton High School girls' team to two conference championships and an appearance in the state tournament
Scouting the Tigers
- Fort Hays has already won more game this year going 5-3 compared to their 3-8 record last season
- The Tigers are a young roster, returning all four freshmen from last year and adding six more this year.
- Fort Hays lost two sophomores and a junior who combined for a 4-18 singles record and a 4-10 doubles record
- Sophomore Kylie Aufdengarten returned after being the only player with a winning singles record of 6-5 from No. 6 singles. This year she is 4-2 mostly from the third position
- Aliyah Frederick, Fiorella Mendez and Stefany Stemmer also returned for their second season. The three combined for a 9-24 singles record in 2020-21
- Mendez is 7-3 in singles and 8-4 in doubles. She is 3-0 in doubles with incoming freshmen Maria Paz Diaz
- Stemmer also having a better season with a 6-3 singles record
- The six freshmen have combined for a 15-8 singles record and a 15-13 doubles record
- Paz Diaz leads the way for the freshmen with a 6-4 singles record and a 7-5 doubles record
- Freshman Heidi Lubbers is 4-2 in singles and 5-3 in doubles
Tigers Head Coach Brian Flax
- Brian Flax enters his 26th season as the head women's tennis coach at FHSU
- Flax ranks as the all-time leader in coaching victories at FHSU with 198
- He is currently the longest tenured head coach at FHSU
- Flax was the RMAC Co-Coach of the Year in 2005
- He graduated from FHSU with a bachelor's and master's degree
- Before transferring to FHSU, he played baseball and tennis at Cloud County CC
Ichabods in the Rankings
- The Ichabods dropped out of the ITA DII Women's National Team Rankings, released on March 10
- Torres is ranked No. 6 in the Central Region
