PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabods women's track and field team put up three NCAA provisional marks and a school record at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Saturday. The Washburn Ichabods will be back in action next weekend at the Washburn Open on Feb. 3-4 in Topeka.
Shanice Hutson broke her own school record in the shot put recording a throw of 14.06m (46-02.00) picking up an NCAA provisional mark along the way finishing second overall. She had a throw of 14.00m last weekend at the Washburn Rust Buster.
The Ichabods had two place in the top four in the pole vault both recording NCAA provisional marks as
Rachael Mayberry and
Tassilyn Bolin both cleared 3.87m (12-08.25) to finish second and fourth on misses respectively. The mark was a personal best for Bolin.
Katelyn Jones finished fifth in the 600y run with a time of 1:29.09.
