LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Washburn volleyball team stays in the top-20 and is ranked No. 19 in the latest AVCA Division II Coaches Poll released this afternoon. The Ichabods (10-3) received 323 total points in the poll.  

Last week Washburn split a pair of home matches, dropping a 3-0 decision to Missouri Western State on Friday before winning a five-set match against Northwest Missouri State on Saturday.  

Wayne State [NE] remains in the top spot for a third straight week with a 13-1 record. They received 44 of 46 first place votes with No. 2 ranked Concordia – St. Paul and No. 3 Tampa receiving two and one respectively.  

Three MIAA teams appear in the poll this week with Nebraska-Kearney landing at No. 9 and Central Oklahoma at No. 22. Both the Bearcats and Central Missouri are receiving votes.  

The Ichabods head on the road for three straight matches and this week will face the No. 22 Bronchos at 6 p.m. on Thursday and Pittsburgh State on Friday.
