TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's track and field team opened day one of the Ichabod Invitational posting an NCAA provisional mark and a personal best on Friday at the Indoor Athletic Facility. Day two of the invitational will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
 
David Kibet finished fifth in the 5000m run in a time of 14:39.10 and Alessandro Di Gregorio was sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.94m (6-04.25).
 
On the women's side, Shanice Hutson had an NCAA provisional mark with a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 13.64m (44-09.00).
