EMPORIA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field squad wrapped up day two of the ESU Relays returning to town with three school records, two NCAA provisional marks, a meet record and 16 personal bests as they opened the outdoor season this weekend. The Ichabods will be in action at the Washington U Distance Classic on Friday and the SBU Classic Saturday. Overall the Ichabods finished seventh in the relays out of 22 teams.

Ilaria Villa won the discus with a throw of 42.42m (139-02) topping the previous mark of 131-11.25 set by Janet McCart in 1978.

Shanice Hutson smashed the school record in the shot put finishing second overall with a mark of 13.98m (45-10.50) topping the previous record by five feet and nine inches. Villa also placed fourth in the shot put with mark of 13.23m (43-05.00) recording a personal best in the event.

The sprint medley squad of Maya Pattison, Kereser Augustin, Katelyn Jones and Naiuri Krein set the school record in the event broke both the school and the meet record winning the event in a time of 4:09.29.

Rachael Mayberry finished third in the pole vault with an NCAA provisional mark of 3.80m (12-05.50)
