BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team showed up and showed out as the squad picked up 12 personal bests, a school record and an NCAA provisional mark on the second day of the SBU Invitational. As a team the Ichabods placed fourth out of 21 teams.
Tassilyn Bolin won the pole vault with a height of 3.85m (12-07.50) earning an NCAA provisional mark in the process.
For the second-straight day,
Shanice Hutson broke a school record, this time in the discus after finishing third with a mark of 44.47m (145-11.00) breaking the school record by 6-foot-9-inches.
Isabella Hohl finished second in the 100m in a time of 11.80.
Kim Smith was second in the long jump with a personal best of 5.81m (19-00.75).
Rachael Mayberry was third in the pole vault at 3.55m (11-07.75).
The Ichabods had a total of 71.50 points to place fourth overall. Missouri Southern won the event with 78.50 points followed by Northwest Missouri with 75, Pittsburg State with 73 followed by the Ichabods 71.50.
