Records fall for the Ichabod women's track and field team at the FHSU Francis Classic

HAYS, Kan. – School records were falling all over the place for the Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team as it set five school records collecting seven NCAA provisional marks and six individual champions along the way at the FHSU Alex Francis Classic on Thursday in Hays.

Isabella Hohl set two school records breaking her own times in both the 100m and the 200m winning a pair of individual titles. She won the 100m in a time of 11.38 breaking her school record of 11.56 and in the 200m, her time of 23.90 topped her school record of 23.95. Both times were NCAA provisional marks and personal bests for Hohl. Her mark in the 100m was also a facility record as well at the FHSU Track and Field Complex.

Kim Smith became the first Ichabod women's long jumper to cross the six-meter mark with a jump of 6.08m (19-11.25) winning the event setting a school record with an NCAA provisional mark and a personal best in the process. Her jump was a facility record as well.

Ilaria Villa took the individual title in the discus with a school-record of 46.78m (153-06) beating the previous school record by 4-foot-4 inches in the NCAA provisional mark showing.

In the hammer throw, Paola Castaldi finished first beating her own school record of 53.75m (176-04) with a throw of 54.45m (178-08) marking up an NCAA provisional mark.

In the pole vault, Tassilyn Bolin picked up the win in the event with an NCAA provisional mark of 3.90m (12-09.50). Rachel Mayberry was second at 3.80m (12-05.50) for an NCAA provisional mark and Savannah Bishop was fifth at 3.20m (10-06.00). Bolin also picked up a facility record in the win as well.

Kereser Augustin was second in the 400m in a time of 57.74 and Nairui Krein was third in the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.92 setting a personal best. Ashley Heavner was fourth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:04.64 and Sheronika Simeon was fourth in the high jump clearing a height of 1.45m (4-09.50).

LILY JOHNSON COMPETES AT DRAKE RELAYS
In Des Moines, Iowa, Washburn's Lily Johnson took part in the 1500m and placed 24th in a time of 4:34.73 setting a personal best and just .97 off the Ichabod school record.
