TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team had its final regular season meet of the season prior to the MIAA Indoor Championships on Saturday on the second day of the Ichabod Invitational. Washburn will host the conference championships Feb. 23-25.
 
The Ichabods had 20 personal bests on the final day of the Invitational adding four NCAA provisional marks, a school record and an event champion.
 
Braden Rose won the weight throw with a mark of 20.95m (68-08.75) for an NCAA provisional performance.
 
Donald Kibet finished fifth in the 3000m setting the school record in a time of 8:17.37 breaking the previous record by .14. His time was nearly seven seconds faster than his previous time in the event as he picked up an NCAA provisional time.
 
Mitchell Thompson finished fourth in the pole vault invitational with a personal best and an NCAA provisional height of  4.80m (15-09.00).
