TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Donald Kibet from Ichabod cross country and Leah Henke from Ichabod soccer have been named the Hy-Vee Student-Athletes of the Week for action ending Oct. 12.

Donald Kibet led the Ichabods to a second-place team finish with his second-place individual finish at the DBU Old Glory Gallop on Saturday in Texas. Kibet was the second finisher in a time of 23:46.16, outrunning 403 other runners in the event. 

Leah Henke recorded the sixth hat trick in program history with three goals against Missouri Southern on Oct. 10th in Joplin. Henke scored three goals in four minutes giving her a team-high eight on the season in 11 matches, which is the second-highest total in the league this season.
